Saki Dez

Elemental Sorcerer Gnome

Description:
Bio:

The story of Saki Dez starts on a warm summers day. The Dez’s first born child to a mason and an actress; Saki was an easy birth, as Mrs. Dez was drugged under her own gnomish concoction. But we should now skip a few years and get to the good part.
Saki showed early signs of becoming an artist herself. Creative and right brained, always thinking of things others somehow missed. Intelligent in her own right, a bit goofy as gnomes tend to be and a wild side in her younger days. Until one day a spark lit inside her, ancient magics from a powerful elemental force. Her fate was now decided.
After the massive layoffs of masons and bricklayers, due to funding being cut, Saki’s family fell into harder times than they were accustomed to. As was common place in Westcrown, many families borrowed money from the more affluent citizens. Until the debt was paid in full or by blood a piece of collateral was taken; that collateral was Saki. Wealthy families need all sorts of ‘assets’ to maintain their power and wealth, so using a young sorcerer they could train to do their bidding in any manner they so choose was valuable. Abused in more ways than one, Saki, a once innocent gnome, had become tainted. Once a true hearted girl, she had now become chaotic and disheartened. As her family heard word from her and other sources about how she was changing as she came into her powers, her father’s guilt started to destroy him.
He went to remove Saki from her surroundings, hoping to save her and give himself as the required collateral for the debt. But the ones in charge had other ideas. As these things often do, the negotiations went horribly wrong, Saki begged for her freedom and her father begged for the debt to be settled. Settled it was, as his life was taken and the debt paid in blood.
Saki was finally free, free to seek out others that may help her in her ending this suffering. To change what has been wrong, so no others have to go through what she has gone through.
